Hi guys, well I went this past weekend to pick up my Allis Chalmers Mo-Co.  It was advertised as a 904 but turned out to be an 890 in field ready condition.  I was just wondering about the rarity if this implement and what to watch out for.  Also was wondering if anyone had a operators and parts manuals for it.  Sorry about lack of pictures but forgot the digital camera at home.

Check your model#   I don't think there ever was a mod. 890. I'm almost sure the three models were 829,904 and 390. I've never ran one,but without any doubt the weakest part is the wobble box that drives the sickle. Had a chance to buy a nice 390 at an auction a few years back, but then reality kicked in and I remembered the AC hay conditioner we had when I was a teenager. In long grass hay it would wrap the rolls instantly all the way across. AC MoCo's use the same rubber/steel combo and I did not want to go thru that nightmare again.

Looked at Norm Swinfords book and Ky.Allis you are correct.  It's a 390.  Thanks.
