I have researched the Ford background and found this: Under the Ford badge they were made in India (years unknown) then when New Holland bought Ford, Escort bought Long Agribusiness and made the Farmtrac tractors, then when Farmtrac went bankrupt they were bought out by Montana tractors and escort now builds them, does this sound right?

It went from Ford to New Holland.

Farmtrac bought rights to the older (square style) pre New Holland tractors.

As was stated Ford Was bought by New Holland. Only some of the tractors in the later years were made on India. Some were built in Romania and other eastern European countries in the later years.
BTW some of the Alllis Chalmers, as well as JD, tractors were built in foriegn contries
