Sorry Don I don't have a clue. The story goes he was thrashing for a man named Fred Holt and I believe he owned the thrasher. Grandfather furnished tractor, truck, and  labor. My grandfather bought the uc in Davis Ok in 38. In 42 he bought a g-4 moline combine and took it out there. When he finished with Fred someone up the road wanted their wheat cut. This continued until they ended up in Shurewood ND. He said they never loaded the uc or combine except to come home that year. They continued this until early 50's. They farmed some in ND,SD, and here with this tractor for a while.

Love the old pics Leesok. Thanks for posting.
Yes Charlie that is a big pile of straw.
I believe they would have baled that straw , at least I know my Grandfather would have baled it. Maybe there was no value to it in that area at that time ?

Neat photo, thanks for sharing!  Sherwood ND is up in my neck of the woods, right on the Canada border.  That is one LONG trip from Texas on a tractor!Shocked

Spearman, that's where Boyd Rice lives, he is one of the best NCHA cutters and trainers around. They say that land around there can be desolate. Nice to see him getting a crop.
