I am in the process of obtaining a WD, and really want it to do some brush mowing.  What size of a brush mower will it handle, and what type does it need to be?  This will be my first AC, so not sure of much about it yet.  Thanks for your help.

I have a 5 footer that I use with my WD.
Sometimes I mow some serious "brush" and real tall heavy weeds.
That makes the governor open up and the ol' WD "talk" a bit.
If I never had any of that heavy stuff to cut, I think I would go for a 6 footer.
I have used the 5 footer with the D-17 and that's when I really wish I had a 6 footer; even in the tough stuff.

I really wouldn't have any of the tough stuff, just want it to mow my pastures after I move the cattle.  a 6' would be nice...save me some time.

My D14 handles a 6' one just fine, gotta believe that the WD would not be under powered.

A WD will handle a 6 footer just fine. Dad bought a Sidewinder SW72 to go behind his WD in the early 60's. I cut a lot of pastures and brush with it. Last year I greased it good, aired up the tires and put it behind my D 15. That old mower is still on the job.
