not the week i wanted. equipment trailer stolen tuesday night, bought diesel with water in it thursday and the tractor quit in the middle of a busy rode, went to mow hay and broke lift arm on 2355, now police got me up at 3am to build fence after some drunk ran thru it. could have been worse, guess i could have broken my leg or something. i know this is not the right board but had to vent.

Sure hope your luck changes soon. That seems to well surpass the bad luck comes in threes. Get a good nights sleep,(doubtful) take an aspirin, and see the Doc if not better by Monday. LOL
Seriously, may your four leaf clover catch up with you for the rest of the year.

Hang in there alc, take a deep breath and one hour, then one day at a time. Murph hits me at times like this. One 3am morning a drunk hit my cow that got out of the pasture head on, totaled his car and killed the dow. Stuff happens, guess I was lucky he was drunk; he maybe could have had a law suit?

Sorry - doesn't sound like much fun --- bad luck is better than no luck -- keep smiling.

We had some bad luck this year to from deaths to money to things breaking.  Just have to place on foot in front of the other and keep pushing.  Praying helps but some times we all wish for a faster reply then we get.

Try to have a Good One !!

as you see you are among friends here... no apologies required.
i wouldn't mind spending a few minutes in a small room with anyone who would steal somebody else's tools or equipment.  with nobody watching.

Maybe the wrong area for this. But I just dislike people that steal.

Yes I'm a believer in just one treatment for sticky fingy Idey:  Choice would cut one finger tip off or two broken fingers , not able to sue for any damages and very little if an medical care. No jail time need after trail.  If a few people get this treatment, maybe  the rest would not just go an do it.  This would never work, to many people in office , in law , and or leaders that are just as bad , I guess we are all sinners.

Oh yes; I see only one good reason to steal, feed your family. I feel that if you need to take to get food, then something is wrong. I'm not talking about filling your truck or anything or stealing the best cuts of meat in the store. More Like the young boy taking an apple from the stand or just enough to get by, not right but I can understand this.

There are only two kinds of people I cannot tolerate, thieves and liars.  There can be nothing but good coming your way after all of this!  As for being sued for the cow in the road, here in WI if you hit a road, the farmer collects!  For the cow and the output she would have given over her lifetime.  Happened to a friend of mine way back when.  Course he was drunk at the time too...  Sure that didn't help

My advice is take the wife / family or best buddy who ever, go out for a meal and a movie and spend a little time appreciating the good stuff in your life for an evening. Won't get your trailer back or fix the equipment but it will put the week in perspective in the overall scheme of things. LOL Things will get back to normal soon.

drunk's insurance should pay for the fence (public liability & property damage coverage is mandatory minimum insurance i think in all states).

I GUESS it's better than having your cow get drunk, hitching the trailer to the tractor, driving it through the fence into the water and drowning... on the good side, perhaps there's a successful country sing in there somewhere...

After a couple rounds of cancer I decided that I will no longer have bad days.

Some of those "not good" days can be rough but I have not had a bad day since i learned what bad days are.
I hope this week is a wonderful week for you.
May GOD bless
