The first and most important step is to get number 1 cylinder on TDC of the compression stroke and make sure the mag drive is horizontal. Absolutly agree, and if you ever have your engine apart it is a good idea to find yourself a zero deck caliper. All it is ,is a starret or other brand caliper that points down at your piston and most times has a magnet on it to hold it securely and squarely to your block. Then you rotae the block until the # 1 piston touchs it, when it reads the highest lift, that is your top dead center, than you can put tape on your balencer and really dile em in. ------------- Hopefully Future AC Man!
