Thanks for posting! Great Show and Pictures! We've got to go to this show next year! Love that everything has Lots of room around them to walk, view and take great pictures!  Not like Gathering of Orange in Plain City with everything crammed in and most you couldn't walk around or get pictures like yours.

Nice pics!! I really thought there would be some more older things there. U's UC's, 6-12's , 12-25 and so on,and more E variations???? But still really neat, glad you took the time to post. I guess I thought incorrectly. But the more of the same is still good !!!

The show has moved off the Karg farm after 20 successful years there.  The Orange Spectacular is now located at the Mcleod County fairgrounds in Hutchinson, MN.

Dennis,

Thanks for posting the pictures. We didn't make Hutch this year, but did get there the year they hosted their first GOTO. Great event.
We did get to see Larry Karg at Plain City and he gave a very good explanation of why the show was moved. I was very glad to hear the reasons for it and it was all positive. Bob@allisdowneast

I've got some acceptable-quality video and a few pics that I took with my GoPro camera. I'll try to get it edited and uploaded within the next week and link to it from here. Really had a good time at the show and managed to limit myself to only bringing a few manuals home.

That is one of the first All Crop Harvesters made. They are nicknamed the Humpback Harvester for its odd shape on top. They didn't make to many of them.

That combine is also known as the "camel back".  My dad was the one operating it in the field behind an unstyled WC.

There were 321 tractors, and 65 lawn and garden tractors in attendance, the implements were not counted. there was about 10,000 people in attendance during the 2 day show. on Saturday at 2:30 there was 2300 cars in the parking lot. it sure made a great show!!

I thought that it would be hard to duplicate as nice a site as the Karg farm, but I was very impressed with the first Orange Spectacular show at the Hutchinson fair grounds.  A friend of ours said it was actually better because people with disabilities can more easily move around both outside and inside the buildings.  The Hutch fairgrounds was originally right next to the 3M plant, but when 3M needed room to expand the fair board moved to the new location and built new buildings.  Some of the buildings are used year around for things such as the university extension office.  Despite the 1/2 " rain late Sat night the weather was perfect(and who would complain about rain this year).  It was fun.
