Boy, I always had it in my mind that a D12 was a bigger tractor. It's really just a fancy B isn't it, size wise. and then you put the 17 next to it and it really looks small. Kind of like when someone posted a pic of a U and an A next to each other a while back. You can tell a big difference in stance though, the 12 is allot wider than the B, and you can't even compare it to the 17, it is a bully,lol. ------------- Hopefully Future AC Man! Ride With Jesus my friends! Lonas |

Stopped by Harrington, DE, just after the annual State Fair. While my wife does the slots I charged to the tractor show area hoping something was still in the area. Noted a few John Deere's. Saw some workmen moving the units and asked them about the horsepower. Both were well over 200 HP. When I think the biggest tractor I sold was a D-17 - 52 hp and now look at a unit that is four times more powerful it is so hard to believe the technology out there now. I asked them how they shifted gears. Electronic Transmission was the answer. You just press a button and the unit moves to another higher or lower gear. WOW!!! Really wonder if I could sell in this age. You know, I would have to go to school to learn to drive these monsters. Good Luck! Bill Long |

Bill they wont last, as the electronics will be obsolete in 5 years and after 10 years you won't be able to get the electronic parts. I'll stay with my old AC tractors like the B ------------- CA, WD, C, 3 Bs, 2 Gs, WC, I-400, 914 |
