I have 2 175s both tree point hitches go up and stick up with preasure all the time.making seals leak anyway to fix them. sprayed oil in back of valves.did not work, also is there a way to fix coupling on crank end of hydralic pump. new one is not available

I though the 3pt was supposed to go up and stay up, most leak down. Im a little confused on the exact problem. Is the hyd cylinder or valve leaking. If it is a valve leaking where is it leaking from, a fitting?? I would advise you to get an AC owners manual for your tractor. In it you will find good info on adjustments and specs. I say that to lead up to this. When the 3pt rises to the top of its stroke the system has an automatic kick out that resets the main lever to the hold position. Maybe yours is adjusted incorrectly. More info may be need to diagnose this. Now with the front hyd coupling. Im guessing find used parts or fab up something of your own.

There are all kinds of couplings out there for driving a pump, don't need to keep it original.

I suspect that you can find the chain coupling at Grainger. Have a friendly AGCO dealer get you the chain specs. Or taking the time I'm sure you can figure it out... I had mine off last fall to replace my 175 fan belt and was concerned.. what if this breaks.. I mused. Although I doubt your problem is linkage based, nevertheless, I would crack open my owners manual and adjust the position control and traction control linkages... I had a problem a number of years back..after the tractor sat for a number of years of little use.. 3 point wise. Arms went all the way to the top when in traction booster mode... linkage was seized. As longmeadow mentioned, it is the rusted traction booster linkage that is causing the lift arms to stay up (linkage is putting pressure on the valve). Spraying oil in the general area does not do anything. Best thing to do is take the traction booster linkage apart, clean it up and put back together with antiseize on it. After this, it will be ready for many more years of use.
