to be clear, you are paying someone to clean and paint it?
Materials: $50 for equipment paint, reducer $30, Hardener $30 consumables like sandpaper, tape, wirebrushes....$100
Primer $50
off top of my head, you are looking at $1000+ depending on how much cleaning, scraping and paint removal they have to do
I painted my D17 recently, spent 200 hours on it.

If you are going to hire the work done have you seen any of their work? There was a fella up here had the local sandblsting outfit blast and paint his ford (8N) I think and it must have been someones first paintjob --- looked terible and they charged him $600

Don't think $50 for paint will make it with a quality product. A lot depends on the condition of your tractor to start with and what kind of paint job you're looking for. I'd say a $1,000 is a cheap paint job, and you're probably looking at $2,500 or more, possibly much more if you want "show quality" paint job. A good paint job is 90% preparation and labor is expensive. After that you might as well have them use the best materials to spray it. A well prepared tractor wil look good if you paint with cheap paint, it just won't last as long as painting it with good paint.

Before the paint goes on ..be sure to fix or repair ANY leaks !!! Don't matter how cheap or expensive the paint is NONE of it sticks to oil, grease, hydraulic fluid !!
That's one reason my D14s are still in their 'working clothes'.

I also painted a all is c. With the piles of parts and chassis of tractor sandblast was 400. Used Dupont Jason paint and was close to 500. A buddy's body shop did body work and it was a straight tractor juts all work on take and grill. That and labor to paint was 350 and he cut me a deal. That's my show tractor. Painted a 190 and sanblasted has minimal body work done and decals with cheaper paint was still close to 1000
