We used to pull a 6/11 kinze with a 6310 FWA John Deere, which is about 90 hp. We pulled it in the hills and got along fine with singles.

Guys used to pull 12/23's around here with 1066 IH's. I've been told they pull very easy. Currently looking for a 12/23 myself. Planned on pulling it with an 2wd 8070 but could use the D-21 or 220 in a pinch.

We have, well, we had a 12 row Twin Line until we traded it recently. We pulled it with a variety of tractors, including a AGCO RT150, AGCO DT200, MF 2745, and we even used a friend's AC 7000 one year. The way I heard it, that was all the 7000 wanted, but it pulled it. I think you'd be fine with a 110 hp FWA.

You don't NEED duals to pull it, but I would certainly say it's a good idea.  You always want to try to spread your weight out when you're pulling something like that.  How much tongue weight does this planter have?

pulled an 8-38 planter in our hills for years with my 180D....plenty of power!

duals would be a good idea, like nevin said to balance the weight and more traction in hills & wet sopts.  we pull a 8 row kinze with interplants with a 7045 w/duals.  it handles it about right, but you know it's back there when u got the bean units full n pullin a hill!  also when transportin, i don't run quite wide open cause it can get the draw bar bouncing about like if i take our 600 bu. grain cart 2/3's loaded on the road.  as u know 4wd makes a heckuva difference.  i'd say you'd b fine but go with duals.  good luck
