Let me think.  the engines turns clockwise.  It is connected to the Cam Shaft which turns counter clockwise.  The Cam Shaft is connected to the governor out drive which would make that to turn clockwise looking from the rear.
Just an educated guess.  The experts can correct me cause I can be wrong.
Take good care of my favorite.
Good Luck!

But wait. The B engine turns clockwise as Bill said, but that is looking at it from the front, so the govenor turns clockwise as viewed from the front.
So from the tractor seat the engine and govenor turn counter clockwise.

That is why you time it to the C and not the AC on the fiber gear in the Mag.  AC stands for Anti-clockwise and not Allis Chalmers.  Boy, don't ask me how I know that!!!!

I think bill becker is correct .  Looking from the seat, the rotor turns clock wise, but there is one gear reduction in it so the magneto shaft must turn CC or AC (see above) when viewed from the rear.   Another way of looking at it, is when you are checking the impulse, you are turning it clockwise.  But that is from viewing it from the front.  CC looking at the governor from the back.

Guess this older mind forgot that the B engine turned clockwise from the front.  You know, if I would have thought a little more remember you crank the B clockwise from the front.
Thanks for the correction Bill.
Don't like to give bad information on my favorate.  Want them running right.
Good Luck!
