    The manual says to use 250wt oil, but it's impossible finding it.  What does everybody else use?

Cornhead grease would do nice. Then you don't have to worry about it runnin out the bottom seal.

   hmmmm, you're probably right on that.  I better not tell the owner that he's got green grease in his orange tractor then!

I used an Mobil EP grease we had at work. It's a little thicker than cornhead grease but if you pack some in the bearings it will work for a long time. I used the same stuff in my JD gyromower when the lube ran out the bottom of the gear box. Been in there 6 or 7 years now.
