The two John Deere clubs in Ontario and John Deere are having a show at the John Deere eastern Canada and Northeast US headquarters in Grimsby Ontario to celebrate 175 years of green this weekend. One condition of hauling was that I would not repaint the trailer. I wore my D-21 T shirt to stir the pot a little more when I hauled the load yesterday. Actually the owners of this stuff are all real good guys.

Wow! That's a nice trailer. Did you build it your self ? What's the GVW on that thing?

Eldon, do you really think that load of green is worth more than a load of orange????
The tractors loaded this way the first time. I guess some experience does help. It took 2 hours to tie them all down with 17 chains and binders. This is the first time I had 6 tractors on the trailer but 4 were narrow fronts. I had one trucker pass making all kinds of hand motions. The trailer started as a standard 48' step deck and we built the beaver tail and ramps. The ramps lay flat level with the deck for hauling bales. Two small ramps are used to get on the front deck and one of those ramps are used between at the back for the narrow fronts. In Ontario the GCW for this combo is 107,000 lbs.

Looks good! I like the load of orange better though!

Helped a neighbor unload his 2 JDs and 2 IHs off a flatbed hook up to a big truck for the tractor drive today. They unloaded a lot quicker than I expected them to.

So how much did the green load scale? 107K down here would have the diesel cops attention...

I didn't weigh this load but it will be well under 80,000 gross. Depending on number of axles etc.etc. we can have up 138,000 lbs gross weight on any road here in Ontario.
You got to love it !

Tony, What are you digging in Stratford? Was there this morning and didn't see any big holes. My wife's cousin works for Mammoet so if you have serveral hundred wheels, the sky is the limit.
