Hello fellow orange enthusiasts!

My brother and I picked-up a I400 tractor with loader and backhoe last weekend. This will go to our Dad's farm for him to use for utility work. We figured it would make a good addition to his WD45 & 170. It is complete, but we need to put a clutch in it.

I have a few questions I'd like to ask the community:

1 - Where should we get the clutch from and would it be the same as the D10 clutch.

2 - What differences are there from the D10 besides the front axle, steering, auxilliary pump and fixed rear wheels. Anything major?

3 - Any maintenance items we should check on beyond the basics specific to this tractor.

4 - We have a service manual for the tractor and a operators manual for the backhoe. Is there a manual for the loader? Who makes a good parts manual for the tractor? Or should we get an reproduction owners manual (does it include part numbers?)

5 - Was the backnhoe made by AC? Are the parts common with other TLB's of the same era?

6 - Anyone know the lift capacity of the loader?

7 - Currently, the hydraulics work, but we don't seem to be able to lift anything. Where is the relief valve. Is there hydraulic circuit diagram somewhere?

Thanks for any help. I know this is more industrial questions, but there seems to be more activity on the farm side. And thats where we'll be using it anyway ...

Actually the I-40/400 is based on a D-10 Series III. The only difference between a D-10 and a D-12 is the width. The power train is the same. The loader and backhoe was made by Henry for Allis-Chalmers and A-C then purchased Henry.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know what model Henry the Loader and Backhoe were? Or did they have AC attachment numbers.

I knew the WD models pretty well, and the 100 series. But not having first hand experience with the D series has been interesting. Then add the Industrial on top of that.
