Brought this plow home from the scrapper, looked way too good to be melted down! It's a 2000 semi mount 5 bottom, it's sat outside for awhile but it's pretty well all there - rolling cutters, cover boards, even had the factory hitch pins tied to it. :) Got the wheel bearing fixed and found an old cylinder layin around. gotta get a new hydraulic hose n it'll b ready for plowin! we have a 4 & 6 bottom 2000 so this oughtta feel right at home. should i taek a wire brush to the bottoms for the rust?  |

| I would not waste time with the wire brush if you have some sandy or abrasive soil to scour them. My personal opinion |

I used an electric disc sander on my 53 when I got it. Just lightly go over each moldboard a little at a time and eventually the disc will be built up with enough gunk it'll polish more than grind. Then I went out and plowed 10 acres of sandy clay hills and clean the moldboards off at the end every time I picked the plow up. Kept it coated with plow coat or slip plate ever since and it's always ready to go.

paint the moldboards with ATF and let set for a couple of weeks and with in 30 min of plowing thay will be shiny. ------------- 190XT 2WD45 WF D15 D14 CA BIG10 302 & 303 bailers 77G rake 80R mower 6 plows and alot more |

Nice find around here any 4 bottom and up has been selling for $500.00 and up there is alot of CRP ground comming out this fall i think thats what people are wanting them for. ------------- 190XT 2WD45 WF D15 D14 CA BIG10 302 & 303 bailers 77G rake 80R mower 6 plows and alot more |

Auto transmission fluid. Nice plow! Really bothers me to see some people send something like that for scrap! I know people get desperate for money, but sell it to someone who will use it. I saved an IH 550 from scrappers last fall, and used it for recreational tillage!

any interest in parting with that add a bottom it has?? Love to turn my 6-18 into a 7-18 Assuming it has the 18" bottoms. |

| very nice plow Floyd. check around for the availibility of replacement plow shares in case you break the tip off one. i've had a devil of a time getting anything for my 60 series plow. would bet your plow will really turn over any residue without pluggin up. |
