Excuse my ignorance but what's the purpose? Not knocking it just don't understand. Is this for pulling applications to get desired gearing?

They are a CNCed gear box that goes where the PD clutch was. No shafts to replace. It is a self contaned unit. We can provide almost any speed change you want. If you don't get the right speed it only cost around $200. to upgrade to another RO.
Price is $2500. with 2 1/4" wide gears. They will fit 180-200.
  Give me a call @ 660 828 4310 or 660 663 9173  Eugene McNeely

That is a really neat thing you guys came up with and a decent price to go with it!!
I'm not a puller but have been around some enough to know that gearing can make you the winner. Maybe Orange will be taking even more "winnings" home now.

Not a puller myself but I hope this is a good question What kind of horsepower are these units estimated to withstand?

They will hold over 1200 HP. Will hold more power than the shaft between clutch and gear box.   MACK

How much "juice" can a jacked up 301 put out? There must be a point at which some componet can't handle it.
