On a C is the curvature at the grill cutout supposed to be the same shape for top and bottom. This picture shows a similar curve top and bottom. I have seen grills where the bottom curve is flatter. Is that as intended, or just a dented in grill? |

| I have a C and the grill looks just like the picture. The B is the same. If that grill is on your tractor, you have a very good looking grill. Lots of the grills are push in a bit. |

Thanks, that is what I suspected, alot of grills I have seen are pushed in down there. That is not my grill, just a pic I found on the net, it was a good angle for my question. And I wish mine was that good. The more I look, the uglier it gets. I am reworking all the rusy sheet metal on my C. I cut out the bottom part of a fender and welded in new metal. That was about 24" long weld. I used my $85 Harbor freight a/c flux core only welder. I had trouble on 16 gage test welds . What got me going was to switch to .030 wire (was .035) and big help was to remove the outer gas nozzle. It was obstructing my view. The welder doesn't even have a gas option, they probably just used the gun from another model. I am not a welder, and using an a/c flux core on sheet metal is aparently tough. Once I could see better, I adapted, made some ok looking test welds and dived into the real thing. I am not looking foward to doing the other fender. I wish someone would re-pop a real C fender. Hats off to those who can do this type of work fast, correct and economical enough to make it a viable option.

Those unique flatter custom grills were customized mostly by improper use of the clutch, brake, steering wheel or all of the above.
