I have a 1958 D17,SN 7100 some i have seen has the muffler and breather on the right side,Mine is on the left,I have seen the 1959 on the left,Did they change the late 1958 to the left,And what is the correct answer for the year they went into production abd sales 1957 or 1958

It is supposed to be on the left side ( viewed from the drivers seat).
