Ok, I realized it probably wouldn't be cheap to transport a combine here to ND 400 miles but so far the lowest quote is $3000. That's nuts, I could buy a used trailer and haul it myself for that price. I'm getting a bit frusfrated since I can't find any all-crops or any other small combine here since the scrappers have scrapped everything.

If you got a truck, mount a hitch on the right rear corner, load up your grease gun and go pull it home. They have been hauled many miles, just keep the speed down and grease the wheels every 50 miles or so.

Pull it home behind a pickup. Over the years I have pulled 2 - 90's and a 66 home a total of 400 miles. Check stud screws everytime you stop to grease hubs. I also pulled a roto baler home 200 miles.

Dale -- nice looking bagger unit----- I have had an AC 60 on a trailer, flat deck with 6" welded strips along each side to get 102" wide -- but have to ask how you load and unload that thing with trailer fenders? Always like to see how creative the folks on this site are.

I can see for a trucking outfit that $3000 is about the going rate. with the permits they would have to have. remember they are 10'8" wide and weigh about 4000 lbs, ask Tom Yaz what it costs to heve these shipped, I have hauled many of them on my Gooseneck trailer, you need a trailer that is 102" wide to make it work with the wheels,

The fellow in CA who bought my rebuild was quoted $8K to CA from PA.... If they can be broken down to avoid the overwidth issues that would help.
BTW, anyone want to ship the 60 to CA?

Yup, for a trucking company 3k is about right.
Remember they have to buy 4.25/gallon fuel + insurance + permits + pay the driver

I'm up in Cavalier ND which is the NE corner. I was looking at a JD 30 also but it is 500 miles away LOL but at least the hitch folds, would be a long trip.
My wife would probably kill me if I drilled the suburban's bumper LOL.

Hear a lot about shipping the All Crops Rode a 60 for years tying sacks Could you take the togune and pic up conveyer head off and turn it long ways. Look like a couple hours work . The one we had come shipped that way on the train.

I might end up going that route,looks like alot of work LOL. I wonder if anyone makes an off set hitch for a standard receiver for pulling implements like this if I had an off set hitch I would just attempt to pull it.

Do not beleive any company makes an off set hitch. People on here have welded them up. Any machine shop could make you one reasonably inexpensive.

I made an off set hitch to pull my 72. Worked real good. Towed my 72 more than 100 miles without incident. Mine didn't have it at first but I added it-a support at the 90 degree angle at the passenger side of truck between hitch and bumper to stop leverage effect on my hitch receiver tube (without it backing up I bent my receiver)

I made an offset hitch for my truck. Took a side rail from a WD and channel up, it fit right over the bottom of the bumper. Bolted it to the hitch holes in the bumper center and added a brace on the outside end. Actually put the regular hitch ball on thru the entire
system and an AC ball on the outside end. Was fun to here people comment
that "there must be an AC buyer here." Had a stub drawbar on the end so was a real "knee knocker." Pulled a lot of AC implements. The record was a 90 combine. 140 miles on the original tires and they made. Jim Lindemood..... Used one loader under each tire, lifted it and backed under. Off the same way....Dale
