Hey guys I just recently restored my c and while painting and sandblasting I took the distributor off and now it's all done and ready to go and she won't start it just pops and blows out fire balls when it's ready to start what o you guys think?

Ignition timing off. Pull plugs, with finger over #1 cyl (closest to radiator) rotate engine until feel compression. Place small wire into cyl until it touches piston then slowly rotate engine until piston is a top. Pull rotor cap and look at where the rotor is pointing; connect the #1 spark plug to the cap at this locaton. Going clockwise, install #2, then #4 and finally #3 (firing order is 1--2-4-3). After engine starts fine tune the distriburor timing. If this don't work, would suspect that the timing gear on the camshaft was installed incorrectly.
