morning boys and gals i am puzzled i have been working on the my series 1 D 15 again and i was installing the pump for the live hydraulics here is the problem i took it apart and installed the 6 spline shaft coupler on the crank pulley then slid the 13" shaft in through the crank hole and i am to short for the shaft to stick past the casting to put the drive sprocket on with my best efferts i measure a 15" shaft will do the job but i cant find one that long they say they make a 17" but it is 10 spline so i would have to tare it all down again then switch couplers than modify the new shaft by cutting it down 2" and mill a key way on the end of it again. anyone now what is going on here??????? do i have the only odd ball d 15 ever made or what? i cant make light of it it is a factory allis pump and mounting bracket and the v pulley on the crank looks correct i just cant figure this out also any good tricks on un tweaking a tweaket loader frame it is bent pretty good and am looking for any help i can get?????? thanks again for any and all help  ~AMP~------------- ~AMP~ |

| Don't know if this will help, but here goes. My D-15 is a series II and has the hydraulic pump you are trying to put on. I don't have the tractor here at home to make measurements, but I must have the longer shaft. It has bushings made from looks like i/2" steel pipe to set the pump out farther so that the long shaft works. I can take measurements if you need me to or you can mount shaft and pump to see length of bushing to make pump stable. (To clarify, the bushings go on the mounting bolts that mount pump base to tractor.) |

| As for the bent loader I have fixed two of them in the past and the only way I could make it right was to air arc the welds off and re-weld it back together straight. HTH. |

Back when my 45 was putting out about 3800 psi, I hooked the high side of the lift arms to an immovable object and raised up till it looked about as bad the opposite way. im with B26240. if the frame is "bent", it will take quite a load to bend it back and probably cause a weak spot. Decide what needs cut and do it by grinding out the weld, or sawzall the frame where needed. Pull back into position and reweld it. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |
