does oil pick up  tube have a curve in it or suppose to be straight
mine has a curve in it anyway found out mine is cracked were it screws in to the block
when i tried to remove it it broke off in the block now have to try
and remove broken piece all the pictures i have seen shows it being straight
working with a basket case some one else tore a part original problem no oil pressure

All that I have seen were straight. Have a few in the shop (with the pickup end); yours for $5 plis postage. If no oil pressure, check that the pin in the back of the cam is intact; the oil pump shaft has a slot that goes over the pin...broken pin=no oil pump drive. (Been there, done that)

replaced the oil pump drive pin looked ok
