what is the procedure to remove and replace the injector pump?? i was told it would take about 3hrs.
i know it would mean making sure things were lined up asfar as timing was concerned. i know it would be need to remove the altenator then the front cover that was about 8 bolts. then the fuel lines and then the cap-screws that hold the pump to the housing.. your help will be great..
my first fuel pump removal
thanks rob

When i change my pump out on the 7060
I did not have to take the altenator off.
make sure you get into time 22 degrees BTDC at least that what my book says.
and the take the pump window off make sure the timimg line up on the injection pump.
I took my lines off then the front cover and before i removed the 4 bolts i stuck rags just in case i drop a bolt or a washer and then removed the 4 bolts that hold the gear on removed the gear and removed the bolts that hold the pump on.
I had my pump off and the other pump on in 2 hours.
this one of the easy pumps to do.
hope this helps.
