Howdy folks...have an early 80s 5050...noticed the bucket was slowly dropping with a load in it (very slow). I checked the hydraulic fluid and it was a little low, so I added until it came up to normal on the dipstick. Bucket with a load is still slipping.

Any ideas? Am I looking at replacing the hydraulic pump?

Thanks much ahead of time...

You might want to see that the loader cylinder seals are not leaking first.  Those can lower your load.

Pump don't the load, the control valve holds the load.   MACK
