Yeah I committed to doing a second one..you can see part of it in the background. I will take lessons learned on this one and apply appropriately. It will have the sickle and reel. No assembly line planned... Doing a complete job like this for $$ is not practical. Way too much labor costs. However I think perhaps offering a rebuilt chassis as a "starter" for someone to rebuild their own may be doable....consider this... Provide a blasted and powder coated frame with new seperator box,cylinder threshing chamber, grain drag and grain pan. Customer does the rest himself by using the parts of his wore out chassis or can buy the rest of the machine the chasiss was rebuilt from "as is" and rebuild the rest of the way. I think putting together a new chassis is the most technically challenging part. A rebuilt chassis can be broken down into two parts...the tongue and the rest and easily shipped. Marketable? Here is what I had made: header sides concave seperator roof seperator floor seperator panels (there are three of them) tailings boot (final tailings connection connector to concave) slanted panel behind the tailings boot grain pan grain unloading auger cleanout doors NOS: concave "hood" tailings downslope chute grain elevator slip clutch assy Misc other... other new stuff: cylinder bars and bearings concave bars shelling plate grain drag assy tailings chain assy clean grain chain assy belts wheel bushings roller rubber tires gearbox bearings and fork universal joints (3) PTO connection to tractor seperator wooden chain guides straw rack 50% new wood drapers ------------- If its not an All-Crop, it all crap! |
