I have a D15 engine in my D14 and need to put a new set of plugs in. The parts store NAPA told me that some D15s need a protruded plug to fire correctly. He gave me the short ones because if I was to use the longer ones it could hurt the pistons. The block has a number 0G6T on it. Not sure where to look on the head if there is a number that would be on there. If any one knows what ones to use or how to know PLEASE HELP!
THANKS,
RB

Look on the side of the engine behind the carb for the serial #. It will tell you which engine you have. The D14 and early D15 both had a 149 cu in engine and took the same plug AC 295's or Champion J-8. they have 3/8" reach. If you have a 160 cu in engine, I'm not sure which plug to use. Bob

That would be Autolite 295s. AC would be 45s or 47s. Kip

Your Parts Store is wrong.....no model D15 ever used anything any longer than a 3/8" length spark plug.

Can't you just remove one and take it to the parts store to match it up?
