I just called my local AGCO dealer to see what a quart of PO 1 costs and it ended up being right at $90 for a quart. Is there any other good alternative for PO1 paint anywhere else? I want it to be as close to original as possible. Also, i know that this has been in a topic before, but what is PO1's paint code? | AGCO's paint is medium quality at premium price IMO. PPG Ditzler Omni is better paint for one half that money. I use Omni Urethane and the part number is 60080. You can also get Omni in Enamel. It is sold in some areas as Shopline. Same material, different packaging. Dupont has a similar line, name and proper number escapes me. Please do not use any two part hardened materials without a listed breathing apparatus, preferably supplied air. |

Anyone tried www.equipmentcolor.com? AIC paint, a division of Sherwin Williams. Acrylic enamel and two part urethane. Epoxy is one part, whats that? If someone has used it please report on color and quality. My first post backfired excuse me if this shows up twice. |

I would disagree that AGCO paint is a medium quality paint but it is over priced, my dealer blames shipping costs for a lot of it. It used to be a gallon was a better buy because the shipping costs weren't much different, but I haven't checked in awhile. As for quality, it is an equipment enamel and as such is as good as John Deere or CNH. I have a WD45 that was painted 30 years ago and you can touch it up with an AGCO sray bomb today and it still matches. I'm not talking about a trailer queen that is covered while it sits in the shed between shows. With the AGCO paint I always get a consistant color wether it's PO1, P02 or Corporate. Automotive paints can give you a better looking paint job that is shinier than the original ever was but with any of those products I've seen, even a pro painter has trouble turning out 3 PO1 tractors the same shade of orange. ------------- AGCO My Allis Gleaner Company |
