Hi there. I have a compression leak at my #2 injector. It is in a combine. I pulled the injector today and am wondering how to pull the copper compression washer that goes underneath the injector? Any help would be appreciated.

Use a 5/8 fine thread tape. Screw into copper ring and pull it out. MACK

Thanks Mack. Will try it tomorrow. Is there also some type of a replaceable oring in the sleeve that the injector sits in?

No oring, there is a rubber sleeve on the top of the injector to keep water and debris from getting between the injector and the bore in the head.

I dont see why that wouldnt work, it would be better than those phony foam sealing rings they used to use!!!

The reason I asked about the oring is because when I was cleaning yesterday I felt, at about 2" down the hole, something that felt like a rubber oring in a seat. i figured it would be to keep water etc. from going all the way down and ceasing the injector inside the head. I happen to be in the jungle and my manuals haven't arrived yet for the combine and engine SO a really big thank you for your help!!!!!!!!

Well, it worked!!! Not the way I had envisioned it but it worked! I went to pull the injector washer this morning and the tap didn't seem to want to work. I went down with a pick and couldn't pull the washer. I determined that there was a washer and if Mack says that the tap works then some how it WORKS! went back down with the tap and a hammer . Yes I had visions of all kinds of stuff ending up in places they are not suppose to be. softly I tapped the tap. Still nothing. OK, what now. Well I decided that if I was going to have to pull the head I may as well have a good reason. BANG! turn with 3/8ths wrench BANG! Oh OH! something is on the end of the tap. Blew everything out with compressed air. Couldn't find the missing piece. BUT, good news is that upon further examination, the break isn't a new break. Thanks again for you help. From the jungle. Well, just to finish off this experience, couldn't find the correct sized copper washer today. Oh well, here in the jungle there is something called creativity. Sometimes it works, sometime it doesn't. I found a washer that was too small and decided to stretch it. Put the injector back in. Started the engine and waited. 4 injectors now leaking fuel. Re torque fuel return lines. AOK. Works. No blow by. Awesome! Get to harvest some edible beans tomorrow. Really excited about how it works. Thanks again!
