Anyone on here close enough to take a look at this tractor? I know the seller doesn't have the best reputation.....

What's up with the glass? Looks a bit rough, but if you can get it cheap...

Thats a tough looking machine. Triple hydraulics, a/c, and a radio! I like it!

It does have some really nice features but I noticed that the bottom of the cab is about rusted out on the left/driver's side. I don't know how hard that would be to fix but other than that it is a good looking machine.

Looks like either plexi glass or a tint job gone bad. But they are great tractors and fun to operate too. You'd love it.

Someone needs to check serial number and engine crankshaft endplay. Could get into a problem if not checked out. Trust me I have been on the fuzzy side of that lollypop and it is no fun.

Yeah that's the part that scares me too....but it looks like others are not too concerned - and the price is getting out of my range anyway......

I remember reading somewhere there was a problem with the first of the 6000 series with their engines. It's probably what Eldon is wary of ? At what year and what serial number was this problem fixed ? There's a 1981 6080 here in NZ that has over 11,000 hours on the clock and is still original except for a recon. fuel pump. Pretty good going ?

I called about the 6080 in Paynesville. I think it has around 6500 hours. Has MFWD. They want $17,500.

i noticed he stated that it had a 4 speed transmission with hi and low ranges, unless the transmission has been replaced with one from a 6060 it should have 3 ranges making it a 12 fordward gear tractor, he might not be describing the tranny correctly, but if he is aomething has been changed out

Yeah that is the problem for me...farmers are doing good and dealers are jacking up the prices everywhere. Seems to be a lot of $$$$ flying around at auctions also. Small guys like me can't justify sticking that much into a tractor....

You do not want to deal with that guy, go to yesterdays tractors and search geoergetown ohio, i even have a a personal experience to tell about with that guy. They are bad news. He totally misrepresented a tractor, said it was a d12 I drove all the way over there and it was a d14, and this guy is a jockey with 20 tractors on his lot and 4 in his shop. I've also heard a story where another guy took a tractor into him to get the starter changed, and he told the guy the block was broken, and was wanting to trade him another tractor on it. So the owner called back the dealer( reputable in area) where he bought the tractor a month before and told them. the delaer Knew the tractor and said thats bs, the reputable delaer ended up sending a truck down and getting the tractor to fix the starter for the man. I guess the air was awful hot when the truck rolled in to get that tractor.

Yeah I think I have read those reviews...and that is why I have a bad feeling about this tractor....I know he sells a lot of AC's on Ebay and most don't have the right pic for the tractor or the price has too many 00000's in it...
