The Tractor Ride to Plain City OH now has a website, and all are invited to join in. The ride will begin at Auglaize Village in Defiance County OH and travel two days to reach Plain City the evening before the GOTO opens  .Clap
For those wanting to see more country and travel for two additional days, there will be a memorial ride for Dale King, one of our AC caravanners who passed away last Dec.  Dale's WD-45 logged over 1000 miles in caravans and could be seen with the white sunshade top travelling along. This additional two day ride will begin north of Grand Rapids MI, and travel to Auglaize Village in OHio.
Both segments of the ride promise adventure and scenery. See the website for details, maps, phone numbers, and most everything else we could think. There will only be AC tractors in this event, so get em gassed up and ready to roll!!!

Thanks, Jim
Yep, That's Paul.  He drove the support vehicle on "The Ride Home", and saved a lot of time for a few tractor drivers. And, I can still see that bright orange 190XT narrow front blocking traffic  as we crossed US30 on the way to Portland IN A few years back.  Paul in one lane, an Ohio State Patrol car with lights flashing in the other lane. This picture was taken at one of the breaks on the way to Portland.  I think all who have gone on the rides have had fun, as some of the craziest things have surfaced and provided entertainment as the ride when on. Very memorable times too. Playing bingo while crossing Lake Michigan with the tractors loaded on the SS Badger was one of the funniest things I've seen. Seeing a two mile long string of AC tractors on the way to the GOTO in Portland IN was quite a sight too.  I was third from the tail end and all I could see as we turned a corner was Allis tractors rolling along.

Paul is recovering from recent back surgery, so when i told him about the post, he thinks he's a celebrity now! I tend to be his chauffeur once in a while when we go to auctions and shows, so i should get used to it.

One thing i have to say about AC caravans, we at least have a diversified offering of different models throughout the length of the trip. The JD's just have 4020's and 2-lungers. Watching one after the other 2 cyl's gets pretty boring!

One of the best and most fun days of my AC career was riding around MN in a truck with Paul Pelton, Ernie Knutch, Jack Gustafson and Norm Meinert. A great day and a good time with some great Allis Chalmers guys. Paul will keep the party rolling!

You have all been given notice earlier that when Paul gives the signal you better be ready for some FUN, don't be sitting on the sidelines watch the FUN pass you by.  As the spring edition of Old Allis News is arriving in your mail boxes, there is information regarding the Ride to Plain City.  There is also a website for further information concerning the ride with an online registration.    Also included on the site is a list of the tractors and their home town that are registered.   http://sites.google.com/site/ridetoplaincity/home" rel="nofollow - https://sites.google.com/site/ridetoplaincity/home

Another month has went by and not many people have signed up for the Ride to Plain City.  You'll notice when Paul gets ready to leave, he doesn't look back.  Not to late yet, check out the website       http://sites.google.com/site/ridetoplaincity/home" rel="nofollow - https://sites.google.com/site/ridetoplaincity/home
