I have removed worn brake pads from shoes I have new pads to install with rivets but the predrilled pads do not line up with the shoes when you seat them curve of pad seams off.

Put the center rivet in first. If they still don't line up they may be drilled wrong.  MACK

I installed a 3/16 screw at center hole to pull pad down into shoe which caused other holes to misalign. Then I started over with 3/16 scews in all rivet holes and pulled pad into place but cracked between two rivet holes also tried heating with heat gun only slowed the cracking process until cool. Pads must be drilled wrong.

I just did the brakes on a D17...the holes in the linings didn't line up very well with the holes in the shoe. Set the rivet in the center hole then drill out all the other holes until they line up or the lining will be in a bind and continue to crack.
Had the same problem on a D14 I did....some aftermarket linings are just not made to well.
