I reckon that this tractor is probably already sold by now.  If so, who did the stealing- the buyer or the seller???

Even if he moved the comma one more to the left he's still at 2x what it's worth.

He says nothing about when it was last overhauled.  It doesn't look bad but you can spruce up the oldest, ugliest tractor with a few $100 dollars worth of paint.  If he reduced it to $3500 he would still be priced in the D17 price range.  A '45 couldn't compete with a D17 unless it was really special.  It may be a family keepsake to him, but it's nothing more than just a WD45 to everyone else.

If someone is in that $35K price range I will sell you my whole fleet of WD, WD45 and CA tractors for that. Around 18 tractors in all.

Maybe it's $3500 for the pair?  Sounds like he may know very little about the tractors other than they belonged to his grandpa.

Maybe he misunderstood when they were appraised at "15 a piece"?

Here are some facts about this tractor.  I have actually seen it and I knew the owner until he recently passed away.  It has a rebuilt motor and all mechanical parts have been fixed.  The sheet metal has been painted by an auto-body man and is the original Persian Orange #1 (PPG 60080).  All of the rubber is new and it looks like the rear rims are also.  The factory power steering works.  I am guessing that it will sell for about 1/10 the original asking price.  Thanks.

I talked to the owner this morning and he is thinking more realistically, although still too high, about the price now.  He wants to package the 45, CA and a manure spreader.

It looks real nice and if it was gone through would be a nice one. It looks like the CA was on the way to being that nice too.

Somebody better act fast.  The price on the tractor just dropped by $20,000.  Now only $15,000. Kinda eliminates the wrong decimal place thinking in the price being asked.
