Where can I get a set of the shims for a CA engine bearings? That don't cost an arm and leg.Thanks Tracy Martin

Tracy, Mine came from a roll of brass shim stock at work. I used a nice sharp shears and scribed out the shape. Didn't take as long as looking a number up and calling in my credit card info:)

I bought shim stock here and the thin stuff can be cut with a scissor.

Tracy a good friend of mine gave me some pieces of shim stock and I made mine for one of my b's. I used a piece of steel tubing and used a shell case chamfer tool to sharpen the inside and stamped them out. He gave me 3 different thicknesses and I marked each thickness with a different color of sharpee to keep track.

I have the shim stock. You used to get that set with the gasket and bearing. They were laminated. I am getting lazy. Thanks Tracy Martin

I can have a set ,drop shipped to you with shipping .For  $30.00 ( main & rods ),is that worth the time to make them .When I do a motor job ,I guess get them with the kit .They could be sent to you monday ,with just a call to supplier and your address .
