I recently parted out a 185D that had transmission and other problems. I was hoping the motor would fire up, but as it turns out it is stuck. The oil isn't even black in it and I think it might just be locked up from sitting. I'm debating whether to sell it as is, try soaking it, take the head off and take a look inside, or just part it out. Any suggestions? ------------- ALLIS EXPRESS! This year: |

Eldon - I'd part it out but keep it...way too many parts you can use on other tractors you have. How many times have you sold parts you wish you had now???? ;-) Mike

The tractor is parted out....I'm just wondering if I should sell the engine as parts. Even if I get it un-stuck I have no way to run it to see how it runs. Part the engine out , lots of guys on here could probably use the parts.  pull injectors and soak with a 50/50 mix of acetone and atf and then if you do part it out , you have more moving part`s to sell or used and very little expenses one qt of tran fluid and a qt of acetone one or two week . you decide HTH B:-) Dnoym |
