Just purchased this 1984 8070 FWA with Power director transmission. It will be used to plow with our other 8070 FWA that has power shift transmission. We will see which one had the most power. Had to go out of state to get it since they were not sold through Nebraska Allis chalmers dealers since they did not test the PD at Nebraska Tractor Tests.

Dpower..my 7010 wasn't tested either..but they still sold 'em new here! bought new from a dealer in Blair in 1980.

Can't the front axle be moved forward on those? That would be a rough ride in these parts. Looks tough tho.

Better choice of speeds with the PD. Low side of 2nd in high range is ideal  for the chisel or field cultivator.
