What i was told about it is he had a loaded spreader when he put it in gear and left out the clutch it went bange and hasn't moved on its own power since. They hooked a chain to and pulled it in the woods.

7000 PD transmission, I'm thinking he twisted the center out of the clutch.
I did buy it from him but i don't have time right now to mess with it. Maybe spring project. I need a couple weeks to finish another project.

The universal answer to all questions is yes, how much do you want to spend?

First thing I would guess is that the center is out of the clutch or the input shaft broke, but you want to see if the PTO works before tearing into it too much.  A local mechanic said he saw a 190xt come in with an input shaft broken in two.  Do you know if the PTO still worked?  If so, then it is something further back in the powershift or transmission/rear end.

On a 7000 you can take the plate off under flywheel and see the clutch hub and shaft.  MACK
