Did all the older allises from the 40's and 50's have the same generator, or did they switch with the model? Thanks!

They used both delco and autolite.  Also the B,C,CA used the short frame gen and the larger tractors WC,WD,45 used the standard frame unit.

Can you put a wc's generator on a b's generator mount?

Most all the 6V chassis profiles were the same. The 12V chassis' were a tick longer. Some of the units had a step in the body of them toward the rear of the unit. HTH

So if I were to take the generator off of a 1947 WC, it would fit in to the bracket from my 1950 B's old generator.
