I went and looked at what I thought was a D17 with a front end loader today. I was told it was the industrial version of the D17 and was suppose to have a hoe on the back but when they bought it from the dealer they didn't want the hoe so the dealer took it off. The pto was deleted and there are two hydraulic remotes on the back. Its painted orange but there are places where its flaking and I can see the orginal yellow paint under it. Also it has like a shuttle shift as the operator can select the gear,1st through 4th, but then it has a lever for forward or reverse. Does anyone know what model this would actually be and are parts available for it through Agco? Any help is appreciated.

Allis did make an industrial D17. Front end should be heavier then a stock d17, almost like a D19 front end. Loader was very heavy also. I don't know if it had any seperate designation or serial number or if it just fell under the D17 serial numbers. I have seen one before that was right down the road from me and it also had a shuttle clutch so the lever was on the left as you sat on the tractor, not the right, and gave you four forward and four reverse speeds. I won't think you'll have much problems with finding parts for them. The only odd things that I can think of that are different from the regular D17's is the wide front, the shuttle clutch and the shuttle clutch cooler. I think most other parts should be the same.

That tractor falls in the same parts book as the standard D17, and the only exceptions are those that Chuck mentioned, they are also shown in the same book to.

I drove Gilbert Vust's D-17 industrial one time, and it did not have a shuttle shift or power director. I also had no PTO, and I don't think there were any lift arms on the back either. I also believe it had a heavier drawbar, but not certain. Was a number of years ago.

Gilbert's D-17 Industrial is the oddest D-17 that I've seen. It is the most basic model with no hydraulics of any discription and no power director or shuttle. Industrial's will have a heavy duty non adjustable front axle.
