I have one that I replaced with a new one. It has a small leak and I never pressurized it to see how bad. Just want to know what I should do with it? Does anyone on here repair them? for resale? Kinda hate to scrap it unless its that bad.

had a customer complain to us about a new one leaking we replaced it with second one done same thing asked him one day what he found he was embarassed as it turned out to be his radiator cap not the radiator my 2 cents

Ted, did the new one leak from the getgo? I would think if it's bad, if you bought it from somewhere reputable, they should stand behind it. Also, if it's leaking from somewhere accessible, a good radiator shop should be able to take care of it. I have one here that is in good shape and doesn't leak, but the lower radiator hose hookup piece was rotted off, so if you have one that the lower piece is good on, a good shop could take that one off and solder it onto the one I have here. If you're interested in it, let me know. But I would think that you should be able to get yours fixed unless it needs to be recored.

Ted, unless it can hold 4 to 6 psi, and flow all the water you can put thru it with a garden hose , say 12 to 15 gpm. it may or may not be worth more than $1.80 a lb. Rads for B's and C's, CA's and WC,WD,WD45's are so cheap on the after market that no one wants them recored. if the fins and tubes seem solid, it may be easily repairable, if not, tuck it away til the scrap copper market comes back.
If it were an unstyled WC rad, well, they are not made anymore even aftermarket, and have some value as a source for tanks and sides to rebuild. I have given thought to rebuilding early WC rads, but I don't think the demand is there.
