I have two questions, Did the D-17 diesel use the power crater decal on the side of the block, and second , mine is one of the earlier that used the cartridge type oil filter, did it have a decal on the canister?  Thanks Guys,  Dave.

Power Crater decal is for gasoline engines. Not sure about the canister.

I thought the power crater  might not belong in the kit. I bought the decals from Lyle. He sent an oil filter decal a few days after I recieved the others, saying that he sent the wrong decal. I was not sure he understood what oil filter I had?

Dave, are you talking about the decal, that is supposed to look like the older oil filter markings on AC filters?

Lyle used to be very good about sending you just the decals you needed for your project, but like us all, we make mistakes.

Dave, if it were me, I would add the oil filter decal. Being that your tractor is PO#1.
EDIT: AH, makes sense now, yours is diesel, ya, not sure I would add that to the canister. I am a slow learner!

Dave, I have a decal kit for a black bar grill D-17 and the oil filter decal is defiantly for a gas or Lp engine. The service manual has a picture of the diesel engine and the cartridge filter type oil filter does not have a decal shown.
