Yes. Gleaner put a Mudhog on as a factory option on the late F2 (sn 46xxx and above). Mine has one that was origionally for a M size combine I believe based on tire size. However, mine has mudhog decals which leads me to believe it was put on aftermarket.

We have a 79' F2 with a mudhog.  don't know if it was put on factor or after market.  Works good though

I have seen a couple of 4wd F2s with MudHogs on them, but not many.  I realize that in very compromising conditions, a 4wd is probably the tops.  I have found that if you run these gleaners (E,EIII,K,K2,F,F2,F3) with large drive tires 18.4-26, 23.1-26, or 28L-26s mounted in a backward tread direction coupled with 18.4-16.1s knobbys or 11L-16 single rib on the rear steers, they will float over mud like you have never imagined.   The gleaners centerline design contributes to a lot of its weight being mostly over the drive axle.  In the wet fall of 2009 here in Illinois on silty clay loam soils (November-December harvest), the 23.1-26 & 18.4-16.1 combination on my K2 was near unstoppable.  And, yes the 23.1 will fit using a 330 cornhead with side shields attached.  In this 2wd float setup with the drive tire & steer tire pressure below 10psi, it allows for good steering.  I've never ran any of these with a 4wd setup, but I would imagine they don't turn too sharp?  With that said, I also realize that central Illinois is flat as compared with the hills of Iowa, Missouri, Pennsylvania, or other states where the 4wd may be a welcomed addition over a floating 2wd?

I could be corrected, but the 82 1/2 F2 and F3 sn 48 201 and up had rwa as a option. It was an in  house deal not MudHog as in current production.  I don't think any of the 82.5 models had rwa because it was somewhat of a shock to us the change that was made mid year before the 3 series cam out.  We sold a few RWA's with 16' heads. We had a F3 RWA at Loretta Lynns that we 'tweaked' a bit with a 20' head, floating beater, spike cylinder etc, - It made a lot of the other combines look bad considering the size and $ vs the other machines there.  AC's Ray Sides (deceased - that guy could set a combine ) and I worked a day getting it set up then it rained.  When we went back to the field it was harvesting more beans than the N6 and Deere 8820 (I think that was the model)   We were really proud of our efforts, however, the powers that be did not deliver the aclaids we thought we would get ; in fact quiet the opposite.
A note of interest - that week they made pictures for literature and  about dusk one of the service reps was relieving himself on the rear wheel of the N - we urged the photographer to snap his picture.  We didn't think anything about it until we saw the image made into a Gleaner belt buckle a year later.  Ray called and we  both had a good laugh.

Well the idea was to promote the rotary - having a F3 running with everyone looking at it stealing the show in the mud wasn't exactly what the $ales guy$ had in mind.  And BTW one could not tell the rep was relieving himself on the tire unless one knew what was happening -.

if you were to find one, how do they hook up? i mean do you need a hydrostat or does a variable speed work? and would one off a m2 might fit?

You need a hydro for a RWA. One from a M and L series will work. If you don't get the valve block from hydr. you may be out of luck because the valve block for a DinaPower 4x4 is no longer avable.  I made mine.  MACK
