I just bought a N6 for parts with a 670HI in it.  the 426 has a hole in the block that is about the size of a grapefruit (which I am not concerned about)when the rod left the block and I was wondering if the real damage could be fixed.
When the rod lodged itself between the crank and the the sleeve it chipped out the small lip that holds a seal for sleeve and the block or the "lower deck sleeve support".
Can this be welded and machined back down so the Oring can seal again or is the block shot?   Plus when the rod went it wiped out the cam so how many rods are bent and valves are shot?  This was on the cylinder closest to the water pump side so its #1 or 6?
I am going to try and get a picture of this mess for you guys.
