Have a D15 that the 3 pt lift raises as soon as the tractor tries to start and the arms will not lower no matter where the levers are. The traction booster arm linkages are completely disconnected. I have pulled the sump cover off and there is some metal flakes in the sump and the screen. My Question is are parts avaiable to rebuild the pump and control valves?? Kurt

If the pump will raise the arms and you here the relief valve kick in then the pump is ok. These pump controls on the bottom of the pump belly plate use's the linkage to overide the column controls. So when you are pulling and induce a hard load the applied load triggers the pump to raise the arms.

Answer should be to connect and adjust the linkage under the tractor. The column controls should work then.

The sump linkeages are the ones that are disconnected. Do you think something is broke or unhooked in the pump and valve assembly? everything worked as is should the last time it was used.

Disconnected an internal spring pushes the linkage towards the rear. This is the lift position. Likely had a wedge or something stuck in it to hold it forward and has fallen out. That being said, if it worked before and doesn't now then the wedge has dissapeared or you now have something let go inside.

I would try to tying the crank arm in a forward position and try it before craking into the belly.

What D17 Dave is trying to tell you is with the linkage under the tractor unhooked or miss adjusted the lift arms will raise to the top and stay there. MACK
