After 7 years I'm finally going to restore this one. I think I've collected all the parts I need.

It looks a lot better in pictures than it does in person. Engine rebiult 4 years ago. Came apart in 4 hours and now sits on 4 pallets in the shop. I think it will take a little longer to put back together. Found a lot more wrong as she came apart than I thought.

Yep. If it can wear or break, it will after 60+/- years. I "budget" $2000 when I start rehabbing a CA and generally end up spending more than that. Never done a G but it looks like one would be a fun project. Hopfully you can get yours back in shape and still have a few $$ left in the bank. Keep us updated

one advantage of restoring a G is that you don't need much for lifting equipment, do ya? Good luck with the project, Darrel

Har har har... I see the obligatory oil spill right in the way of clean progress. Seems most times it would save time and effort if one was to spill the oil and make a mess then start the work...   I helped a guy fix up a G a couple years ago. All fixed up with new brakes and paint and he sold it to a veggie farm to be used in the field. We were happy with that.
