Does any body out there own one? Any pros or cons. Thinking about buying one and would like to know something about one. Is the front end heavy enough to put duals on? Any opinions would be appreciated. thanks Frankmi

It has the same drivetrain as a White 6215, with a different engine. The 9815 has a 6cyl 530ci 40 series Detroit, and the White has a 6cyl 505ci Cummins. I have spent many hours in a 6215. They both have a 18X9 powershift. The only complaint I have about the trans is between 9th and 10th gear is shifts the 2 speed and will stop (with implement in ground) and take off again. In the other gears it shifts smooth without stopping. It wouldnt be much of a problem but 9th and 10th gears are right in the middle of your field working speeds.

Those transmissions can be calibrated to pretty much overcome that problem. Don't know if that information is in the owners manual or not. It involves programming your trans controller to "CAL" and running over a large block of wood with one rear wheel. The controller goes thru a "count-down" procedure until the clutches are tight enough to run over the block. Fine tuning can be done from there. I would expect to have to do this every 1,000 hrs or so?

The 9815 is indeed a big horse. We have a customer that has one and if memory serves me it is pushing out 250+ hp. We did have to overhaul the engine shortly after he bought it but I think the engine had been dusted due to a leak on the intake system somewhere. He wanted to put front duals on it when he purchased it, we talked to AGCO and they said the front end was not heavy enough for duals but he put them on anyway and that machine has ran for over five years without a problem. He has used it on his DMI Tigermate for a few years and now has a 12 Krause Dominator and it handles it well.
