Wondering how many D17 Series IV NF`s were made? I haven`t seen that many.

Don't know how many, but I have one. The narrow front is handy for backing machinery into the shed or awkward places. I think the wide front looks better though.

If you look at production numbers of the earlier 17's there are probably way less than 1/3 with narrow front. Those numbers seem to drop as you go through the years. Might be less than 1/5 for the 17 IV's and according to Norm's book numbers weren't available for the series IV. SO maybe 2,000 out 10,000. ????

I have a S-IV gas narrow and know of a couple other 17's and a 19 in my area.  The one old farmer still cultivates with a 4 row front mount on his S-IV gas narrow front snap coupler.

They were interchangeable fronts, so it would be really hard to tell if they came from the factory that way.
