ON a plow That has the rolling cutters with a bushing in the hub what would work for a new bushing? mine is on a 2000 series plow it has a 5/8 hole for the bolt can you still get these from AGCO ? or is there some kind of pipe you can make one out of? it is hard to find pipe with an ID if 5/8 in.Thanks for any ideals TOM.

Steel selling shops have bushing stock that is a hair undersize on the inside and a hair oversize on the outside so it can be turned to the exact size.

Those coulter bushings are probably in the plow bottoms and coulters book at
http://www.grandpastractor.com/phpBB3/index.php. Look at the coulter on page 27, its the only one in my printed copy of that book that has a 5/8" bolt. The bushing or bearing is 344227. I have no idea if AGCO still has any. It is like the coulter on my 2000 plow.

According to one handbook, 1/2" pipe is .003" under 5/8" ID. WIth there often being a weld seam it would take running a 5/8" drill through to get it up to clearance on a 5/8" bolt (axle). Or with a metal lathe its not beyond reason to start with a solid rod and bore it out.

My book is showing a bearing and bearing cup for the 2000 coulter. A very common tube type bearing seems to be a 317992. Bob

Yes 317992 is in my book many times, but it won't fit a 5/8" bolt when its made for a 1/2" bolt that accompanies it in all those pages.

McMaster Carr has ASAE 660 (932 alloy) bronze which would do just fine as long as you grease it once in awhile.
