I have the opportunity to buy a wide front '54 WD-45, at least that is what I am classifying a SN 208663 as (please correct me if I am wrong.) The engine is loose, starter is gone, rubber is shot but the tin is good. Can anyone tell me what this tractor would roughly be worth based on the information above? I was also wondering if there was ever a loader that would operate on the WD-45. I just finished my 43 B earlier this year which was my first AC restoral, but I am not well versed in the newer model AC's where hydrolics and snap coupler hitches come into play.
Secondly I have another project in the works which is an all crop 40 that has been sitting outside for about 20 years, the tin work is decent but other than that I have no idea what those things are worth now. I went through the archives a little and found that fully restored they can fetch a decent price, can anyone speak to part availability and headaches that this project will induce? Keep in mind that the wife is not verbally supporting either project currently :)
Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated.

I think it's a 1955 model.

Yep, that serial number is a 1955 model. If you look up the serial numbers, some sites show the last number for the year. There were all kinds of trip bucket loaders built to fit , or made to fit the WD and WD45 tractors. Allis Chalmers dealers sold the Freeman W9 loader that fit both tractors. I bet that All Crop 40 will be nothing but a big headache to restore. Maybe it would save you a bunch in aspirin bills if you loaded it up and hauled it to me. I would even pay for your fuel and maybe kick in some for a hotel room for a night. :)

You should be loading both on your trailer, and headed back home, for 500 bucks.

Concerning the AllCrop 40, were any of those yellow or has the paint faded so much on this one that it just looks yellow now? I thought maybe it was the primer as the ones I've seen on youtube are orange, but this one is more like the industrial yellow color.

Re 40, could be faded or maybe someone painted it with what paint they had. Seems like they go for close to a grand, if complete.

I had an opportunity at an All crop 40, when I was about 16 years old. Price was around $300 and I did not have the money or a place to keep it. Wish I could go back in time.
