I need help with my planter.  I just picked up an Allis 2 row planter.  I will post pictures shortly, but from what I can tell I need 2 leveling arms for the unit.  The arm that comes out to connect to the snap coupler on the tractor has a pin going across the front that is spring loaded.  2 pieces of metal run parallel to the tractor and the pin is going across these pieces.  I attempted to hook up the planter, but the bars are too short.  How do I properly modify the planter to fit my D 10?  Thank you, Ean.

From your description, it could be a wc, wd hitch which would use the drawbar to complete.  Later Snap Coupler hitch eliminated the two piece with a one piece tongue, had better control of the planter and is a direct bolt on replacement.

you take the draw bar from your tractor and slide it in the track there is a place for a hitch pin and the front pin goes over your draw bar it will work with pin hitch or S/C eaither one .
